Community Day a great success

The Community Day arranged around the Maidenhead home game was a great success

‘Saturday’s BSFC community day was a great success with a good crowd of our youth team players from several different age groups meeting up to enjoy some tournament-style mini matches at Birchwood, joined by five of the first team players who joined in with them acting as ‘Magic Men’ providing a lot of fun and education too! There was a penalty shoot-out as well with six finalists who went through to a further shoot-out on the first team pitch at half time, the eventual winner was Freddie Higgs from Under 9’s Athletic who took home a new football as did our two very willing and able goalkeepers!!

All the players and their parents got to watch the 1st team play against Maidenhead and the players enjoyed lunch too! A big thanks to the directors of the 1st team club for their help on the day and for providing the players to join us, which was really appreciated by everyone, we will certainly be doing a lot more of these great days next season!’
