Safeguarding Children

I am sure you are aware of the recent disclosures of historic child abuse in football. Hopefully this puts into perspective the work that your Club Welfare Officer does and how important the role is in safeguarding children.

In a drive to improve safeguarding in grassroots football further The FA has put a number of measures in place to ensure that the correct procedures are followed.

Therefore, if you need to renew your safeguarding qualification please re-certificate online if you have previously completed the 3 hour workshop.  Details are attached.  Can you make sure this is completed by 1st January at the latest and let me know by email when this has been done.

If you experience difficulty accessing the online safeguarding recertication workshop.  Please take the following steps;

If ‘required learning’ does not appear as a drop down box please email education@thefa.com,     Enter in the subject line “Required Learning”.     In the email detail your FAN number and the date of your FA safeguarding workshop. Work it back from the expiry date 3 years.

If you haven’t completed the 3 hour FA safeguarding workshop, you will need to book onto the workshop the Herts FA will be running at the Club in the new year.  Details to follow shortly.

Hopefully this is all clear, but if you have any questions please let me know.

Kind Regards

Nicola
