BSCFC Update
Dear all,
Following the sad passing of our friend and colleague Ray Greenwood, the BSCFC committee met on Thursday 8th July to discuss how we begin to fill the numerous roles Ray assumed at the club.
In the upcoming weeks we will be advertising for a Lead Coach to head up our U12-U18 age groups and a Lead Coach for our rapidly growing Girls section. These vacancies will be advertised on our social media channels and a detailed job description will appear on our website. If you would like to recommend somebody for the role or if you are interested in either of the positions yourself, please let us know at [email protected]
Ray was also responsible for the weekly coaching for a huge number of our teams and we are currently working through his schedule with a view to utilising our large network of qualified coaches to take responsibility for these teams for the 21/22 season. We will be liaising with your team manager over the next few weeks to ensure we make the right decisions and continue to provide the outstanding coaching you all expect.
Our Café at Friedberg Avenue which was unofficially known as Blues Café will be renamed Ray’s Café in his honour and we’re delighted to announce a new franchisee has been appointed to ensure the great service that Ray offered will live on in his memory.
The summer period is often a challenging one for grassroots football clubs such as ours but we will ensure we pull together to provide you, and Ray watching down, a club to be proud of.
